Different types of financial support available

Accredited courses (Qualifications and Skills for Employment)

The Discretionary Learning Support Fund can assist learners who are studying accredited courses with ACL. It can be used to help with the cost of course fees (up to 75%). It can also help with childcare, study resources like books, and travel costs.

Non-Accredited courses (Creative and Community Learning subject areas)

The CL Bursary Fund can assist learners who are studying non-accredited courses with ACL. It can be used to help with the cost of course fees, childcare, study resources, and travel costs. But, you have to have paid the full fee to get help with course fees.

Advanced Learning Loan Bursary

The Advanced Learning Loan Bursary (Advanced Learning Loans) is for learners who are on a Level 3 course or above and have taken out an Advanced learning loan. It can be used to help with the cost of childcare, study resources including compulsory books, and travel costs.
